Seafarers are people who temporary belong to a constantly changing society.
Their existence is so obvious and they belong to the society!
With their vessels they sail the largest continent and they are the vital link in the transport chain. Although they contribute to our prospertiy and welfare, they live in social oblivion between water and sky, wandering from port to port without any anchor point.
C.A.S.C.O. wants to offer seafarers, if only for a moment, an anchor point in a foreign port.
C.A.S.C.O.'s special attention goes out to the crew of chained ships (confiscated ships) in order to prevent that they get isolated in Dutch harbours from the society. In addition, during ship's visit, our volunteers keep an eye with regard to their health, welfare and safety on board.
